Dive site description: This was our O/W Certification dive site. 43 degree water, 20ft visibility (In Feb 2005). Fair amount of junk and algae around the boat ramp, going from zero to 60 feet in short order. In the summer there are thousands of crawdads to be had. Cold dives. Air temp was 30 deg so we froze out behinds off. Could be a much better dive in the spring and summer. Late summer the water has a huge algae bloom that will limit visibility |
Directions: Head west from Madras to the Cove Palisades State Park |
