Dive site description:
Eastern portion of the Long Island Sound just to the north west of Block Island. This is a decompression dive, must use navy dive tables. Also must at least carry twins and a Pony along with an "up-line" in case you miss the anchor line for the decompression stops.

Vis can go from 2' to 60', the water is normally around 60 degrees but in the summer can be a bit warmer. many large fish, blue fish, triggers, eel pouts, small shark. Lots of large lobster, sea anenamea, etc... This is a deep dive and the first sighting of the U boat is at about 120' as you descend the anchor line. Bring a light as the sun does not extend this far. This is a penetration dive (If you have training and a buddy to help) The periscope has been removed by divers collecting trinkets. the main hatch is intact and open, the aft section was cracked open by depth charges and is a good exit point which is just past the main engines (das boot!).

Great Dive, plan well, mind your stay time and decompression stops. Be careful and it will be something you will talk about for years.

Directions:
I 95 to Point Judith, RI. Charter Boat ffrom there. Boat captians are reluctant to take people they do not know or are not sponsored by a dive school or club.
