Dive site description: The Wacoma Dock is the dock for the OSU research vessel Wacoma. Entry is easy once out or your car it is only about 30ft down the sand to an easy sandy entry. the surface swim is about 100ft and you are at the dock. I dove this on a bad day when vis was about 3ft so I didnt see all this site has to offer. I did see a bit of life and have talked to some of the local divers who say it is usually a good place for crab and maybe some smaller fish. |
Directions: Once in Newport take bridge to south side of bay, turn right and follow the road. keep following the road past the brewery and past the marina, once you hit the dead end at the bay you are there. |
