Dive site description: Visibility here was REALLY poor, about three feet or so. It was difficult to stay together. We were only able to keep from losing each other by both hanging onto the goodie bad. We didn't find any crabs of legal size, though we saw a few lingcod, a couple of which were pretty large. I also found nine or ten old spark plugs, I have no idea how they got there though. Entry and exit were part of the fun of this dive. The waves were going fairly strong, so we had to climb across rock to get down into shallow water amid the rocks. When a large wave hit, we had to jump into the wave and kick like made to get away from the rocks. Exiting was a blast! I got near shore and aimed for a rock to grab. A wave came and carried me to that rock, then right over it and up to another rock several feet beyond it, then the water receeded, leaving me hanging on to the rock. It was an exciting experience. |
