Dive site description: This is a good dive site to get back into the water, buoyancy control is important because of the bottom composition is very much like jello. Great place to practice peak performance buoyancy. Dive to the right of the swimming area and you will find parts of a old dock and if the bouy is out on the side there is a small row boat from the old days. I have seen to my surprise small jelly fish (yes jelly fish) and many trout (big ones) they just like us divers better then the fishermen. To the left of the boat launch and out farther are many logs to see and I have found some interesting items dropped by poor souls who gave them up to Davy Jones Locker. No reason to dive any deeper then 35 feet better at about 20 ft. Temperature varies a lot to the time of year between mid 30's to mid 60's. I actually like this dive site for just a basic dive not great for classes because new divers learning really muck the bottom up and then it's just another mud hole. |
Directions: Take exit #9 (179th St)off of I-5 and follow the Battle Ground State Park brown signs. |
